What is GraceTHD?
Following the launch of the France Très Haut Débit plan in 2013, with the increase in the number of local authorities involved in FTTH RIP deployment and the number of players involved in the project, the definition of a standard exchange model, guaranteeing the interoperability of databases between all the private and public players concerned, appeared to be essential.
Following a reflection phase initiated in 2014 by AVICCA, in partnership with Caisse des Dépôts, Mission France THD and the most advanced local authorities in terms of FttH RIP deployment, and with the support of a group of technical specialists (ALENO, CADaGEO, DOTIC), this work culminated in the validation of the GraceTHD V2 repository in 2015.
Since then, the model has been in operation, implemented in the field and cited in local authorities' specifications as well as in Mission France THD funding agreements. AVICCA is continuing to support the approach, notably by subcontracting the technical side and enlisting the support of recognized specialists such as DOTIC to ensure the model's operational readiness, handle requests for upgrades from the user community and continue to develop the associated functionalities.
What are the advantages of SaaS solutions?
SaaS (Service as a Software) solutions are based on the cloud. Instead of downloading software or implementing its services on your own servers, you can access applications simply via your web browser, and benefit from the full range of functionalities. These web-accessible solutions, or "applications", require no technical integration or special development within the organization's IT system, which significantly reduces their cost. Our digital solutions are designed to be accessible and easy to use, so that they can be adapted to the widest possible range of users.
Can Dotic custom software and solutions be adapted to sectors other than telecoms?
Dotic's expertise was built around telecoms infrastructures, but the problems faced by utilities are similar. Today, our solutions are used to monitor the operation of electricity networks, and can also be used to audit water, gas, street lighting and electric vehicle charging networks...
