From Design to Operations: Dotic Unveils New ConnectServices Capabilities at GéoDataDays 2026

The role of WebGIS is evolving, and ConnectServices is at the forefront of this transformation. Traditionally used primarily to view, visualise and share geographic data, WebGIS is progressively becoming a fully-fledged working environment capable of supporting infrastructure professionals across an increasing range of operational activities.

This evolution lies at the heart of the latest version of ConnectServices.

With integrated editing capabilities, users can now create, modify and structure network data directly from the map interface, within a modern and intuitive web environment.

These new capabilities extend the use of ConnectServices to the planning and design phases of infrastructure projects, while retaining the features dedicated to deployment monitoring, data access and day-to-day network operations.

The objective is to enable the various stakeholders involved in an infrastructure project to work within the same environment and with the same data throughout the network lifecycle.

Planning and design, deployment, asset data updates, data access, field interventions and operations: ConnectServices now supports infrastructure data from the earliest stages of a project through to the day-to-day management of the network.

This continuity helps reduce breaks between the different tools and stages of a project while maintaining structured, reliable and actionable knowledge of infrastructure assets as they evolve over time.

With this new generation of WebGIS, mapping is no longer simply a way to represent an existing network. It also becomes an environment for designing, managing and operating infrastructure.

This evolution also opens ConnectServices to new user profiles.

Engineering consultancies, GIS specialists, engineers and network design teams can now work directly with network data within the WebGIS environment, while retaining the collaborative capabilities and ease of access offered by a web-based solution.

For Dotic, this evolution is part of a broader ambition: to provide business-focused GIS solutions that bring geospatial data closer to operational needs and make it easier for all stakeholders involved throughout the infrastructure lifecycle to use and manage that data.

Alongside demonstrations on our stand, Dotic will also host a workshop exploring this transformation in WebGIS applications:

“Can next-generation WebGIS become the new driving force for network infrastructure modelling and operations?”

During the workshop, we will look at how WebGIS technologies have evolved and explore the new possibilities they offer to network infrastructure professionals.

Data modelling and editing, collaboration, mobility, data quality control, operational applications and artificial intelligence: how far can a WebGIS environment go today? And can it become the point of convergence between the different teams and disciplines working with infrastructure data?

These are some of the questions we will explore and illustrate through practical use cases.

The Dotic team will be at GéoDataDays 2026 throughout both days to showcase ConnectServices and, more broadly, the latest developments across our suite of GIS solutions dedicated to infrastructure data management.
